Anaya Hardy is a true student athlete out of Detroit, MI that attends Detroit Renaissance High School where she holds a 3.7 grade point average. Anaya is a 6’4 athletic left-handed F/C in the class of 2024. Anaya finishes well with both hands around the rim and the ability to finish through contact with either hand as well. Anaya has a natural feel for the game with the way she moves to find openings in the defense to get open drop offs from her teammates as they drive to the basket. Anaya has a high motor that serves her well as she pursues rebounds on both ends of the court, which also helps her with her ability to be an excellent rim runner and allows her to get easy baskets. On the defensive end she uses her height, length, and athleticism to control and protect the paint by playing vertically, blocking shots, and securing rebounds to closeout possessions. Anaya has good shooting mechanics and touch that she displays at the free throw line as she converts and-1 plays consistently. Anaya has an extremely high ceiling as she has only really been playing basketball for two years and already has offers from the University of Louisville, University of Wisconsin, University of Michigan, Penn State, and Syracuse University to name a few.
